Full Moon Virgo Eclipse With The South Node

Releasing Control & Embracing Faith & Trust Amidst The Wild Tides Of The Physical World

As we start off March, we are all feeling the unsettled nature of our physical reality and the waves of relentless change that are sweeping through the world.

We have just passed the intense energy of Mars square Uranus, where, on that exact day, America and Israel launched sudden and expansive military strikes against Iran, potentially killing the Supreme Leader, removing from power a figure who has been in control of the country for almost 40 years with an often cruel and extremely repressive regime & starting a new era for the region and perhaps the world.

However you feel about these turns of events, no one can deny the feeling of intensity, of being on the edge of a historic shift that will completely change the landscape of the Middle East, and most likely, the global landscape.

That’s where we have been existing currently…in between eclipses, an intense portal of change, transformation, and now that Mercury has gone retrograde in Pisces, along with a stellium of other planets, we may all be called to go inward, to reflect on larger truths, or ideals, or directions.

We are drawing closer and closer to our partial Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo, which will be exact on Tuesday, March 3rd, at approximately 3:38 am PDT (6:38 am EST).

Eclipses are portals for change, and intensify the already magnifying energy of the Full Moon, in this case, in the sign of Virgo with the South Node.

This is our third eclipse in Virgo, as we had 2 Virgo Eclipses last year, in mid-March, and mid-late September, so this one may be calling us to do our last look at events and experiences that we were dealing with during those times last year.

What was going on in your life last March and last September? (It sometimes helps to look back at your feeds on social media, your calendar, or your journal if you keep one to trigger reminders of what was present for you during those times).

Third time is the charm, they say, so perhaps this Eclipse will be our final step in releasing these old anxieties, stresses, habits, or timelines.

Old doors are closing so that we can move into the future more liberated, and with a clearer, more open feeling to call in the new steps along our path.

The South Node is about habits, patterns, and experiences that we have outgrown, that we have already experienced and that we are purging and letting go of so that we can move into new experiences that call us towards our highest alignment, or our true destiny, represented by the North Node, which is in Pisces.

Virgo is a sign which loves to exert control over every minuscule detail, is extremely meticulous with rational thought or understanding, and with daily routines.

Virgo wants everything to be orderly, logical, clean, clear, and pure.

We all know that holding on too tightly to things often causes us suffering, loss, and pain.

Life can be messy, and there’s no way that we can maintain control over everything all the time.

What have you outgrown around these themes?

What can you clear, release, and let go of in the interest of moving forward into new timelines and experiences?

Pisces tells us to trust that we are supported by universal sources that we don’t control, but that are guiding us towards our highest path.

Pisces rules the watery oceanic depths, magic, dreams, intuition, creative ways of doing things, and connecting to larger forces at work in the universe.

With the Sun (Self, Ego, Identity), the North Node (Soul mission, destiny, highest path), Mercury Rx (thoughts, words, mental activity), and Venus (exalted in Pisces, ruling relationships, partnerships, wealth, and abundance) all in Pisces with the North Node, we have powerful energies encouraging us to let go of anxiety and control, and to allow the universe to support us as we move towards our highest realization of ourselves.

I’m going to keep this short and succinct today, since we may already be on overload with our consumption of everything happening in the world around us.

This eclipse is calling us to slow down, to release control of what we can’t change, to trust that all of these changes are happening for our growth and evolution at the highest soul level, and to listen to our intuition about what actions to take, and what directions to go.
